Knowledge Access Control overview

Knowledge Access Control as a cross-cutting topic — row-level security and permission-aware retrieval in knowledge systems. Covers inheriting access permissions from source systems (only retrieve Confluence pages the user can see), role-based knowledge partitioning (engineering sees code context, sales sees deal context), metadata-based filtering in vector stores, document-level ACLs in RAG pipelines, and the security challenge of preventing knowledge leakage through semantic similarity (a nearby vector might expose restricted content even if the exact document is filtered).
